Meta Ability ("we", "us", "our") is a registered NDIS disability support provider operating in Australia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Who we are

Information we collect
- Contact and enquiry forms — name, email, phone, message, service interest, and NDIS status.
- Referral forms — participant and referrer details, NDIS plan information, support needs, and health-related information you choose to provide (sensitive information).
- Career applications — name, contact details, cover letter, and links you provide (e.g. resume, LinkedIn).
- Newsletter — email address, with your express consent to receive updates.
- Website usage — if you accept cookies, we record anonymous page views (session ID, pages visited, browser type, IP address) to improve our website. We use Google Analytics only with your consent.
- Essential site features — cookie preference and optional "return to previous page" settings stored in your browser.
Why we collect information
- To respond to enquiries, referrals, and job applications
- To deliver and coordinate NDIS support services
- To send newsletters and service updates (with consent)
- To improve our website and understand visitor journeys (with consent)
- To meet legal, NDIS, and quality obligations
Sensitive information
Referral and support forms may include health and disability-related information. We collect this only where you provide it voluntarily and consent to our use for assessing and coordinating support. We apply additional safeguards appropriate to sensitive information under APP 3 and APP 11.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies store your cookie preference. Analytics and journey tracking run only if you click Accept on our cookie banner. You may decline non-essential cookies and still use the site. See our cookie notice when you first visit.
Disclosure to third parties
We may share information with:
- Hosting and email providers (e.g. Hetzner, your configured SMTP provider)
- Google Analytics (only with consent)
- NDIS, health professionals, or coordinators where required to deliver services or by law
We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
- Visitor journey data — deleted automatically after 90 days (configurable in admin).
- Enquiries, referrals, and applications — retained for up to 7 years unless a shorter period is required by law or you request deletion where we are permitted to do so.
- Admin audit logs — retained for up to 2 years for security and accountability.
- Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe.
Access, correction, and complaints
You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting us. If you believe we have breached the APPs, contact us first. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Marketing and unsubscribe
We send marketing emails only with your consent. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe option. You can also unsubscribe at any time from our unsubscribe page.
